Ireland's No. 1 Provider of Primary School Grinds

Primary school grinds are available to children from Senior Infants to 6th Class in Irish, Literacy and Maths. We also offer Specialist Dyslexia Tuition.

Classes are available live online through Zoom or in-person at our tuition centre in Castletroy, Limerick (depending upon availability).

There is a maximum of 5 pupils in each class which allows our highly qualified and experienced tutors to provide individualised feedback and support. Due to our small class sizes, we offer a student-led curriculum that’s guided by the needs and abilities of each child in the group.

Specialist Dyslexia Tuition

Since September 2021, we have been implementing a new literacy programme which uses the Orton-Gillingham approach. This approach, which is considered the gold-standard in literacy tuition and intervention, is a “direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia.”

How it Works

Children can enrol for primary school grinds at any time of the year. Our programmes are 16 weeks long and the day/time depends on the type of tuition you require. Online classes are 45-50 minutes and in-person classes are 1 hour long. Classes take place once a week, either live online through Zoom or at our tuition centre in Castletroy, Limerick. Children work with the same teacher for the duration of their programme.

Typically, we cover one subject during each class, i.e. English OR Maths. This is because students who have fallen behind in a given subject generally need the full class time to learn a new topic, concept or skill. However, if your child is within the average ability range and simply needs a boost, it may be possible to cover two subjects during a single class. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis and completely depends upon the needs of the child.
