Primary Schools Grinds in Maths, Literacy & Dyslexia Support
Primary school grinds are available for children from Senior Infants to 6th Class in Literacy (reading, writing and spelling) and Maths. We also offer Specialist Dyslexia Tuition.
All classes are delivered in-person in Dooradoyle, Limerick by a fully qualified and experienced primary school tutor.
Maths & Literacy Tuition
Every child learns differently. That’s why our lessons are tailored to each child’s individual needs and ability level.
Literacy tuition often includes:

Maths tuition typically focuses on:
Multiplication • Division • Fractions • Decimals • Percentages • Problem-Solving
We use a variety of child-centred, multisensory activities and games to make learning fun and engaging while building the strong academic foundations your child needs for long-term success.
If required, we can carry out initial assessments to identify your child’s specific learning needs.
Specialist Dyslexia Tuition
For children who have been diagnosed with dyslexia or who have significant reading difficulties, we offer a specialist programme which uses the renowned Orton-Gillingham approach. This phonic-based multisensory approach, which is considered the gold-standard in literacy tuition and intervention, helps children to improve their reading, spelling and handwriting skills.
Specialist Dyslexia Tuition is available to children from 1st to 6th class.
Each programme is 16 weeks long and classes run for 1 hour on the same day and time each week.
Please note: Specialist Dyslexia Tuition is not suitable for secondary school students.

Meet The Teacher
Emer is a fully qualified, experienced and Garda vetted primary school teacher. She has extensive experience teaching children of all ages and abilities in a variety of classroom settings. Emer is Premier Tuition Centre’s specialist literacy tutor, having undergone training with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland and the Orton-Gillingham Academy. Her approach involves child-centred multisensory methodologies that cater to the diverse learning preferences of visual, auditory and tactile/kinaesthetic learners.
How It Works
Our in-person primary school grinds are available on a one-to-one basis or in small groups of 2–3 children.
Each programme runs for 16 weeks
Classes are 1 hour long, held on the same day and time each week
Parents can choose the day and time that best suits their schedule
Typically, we focus on one subject per class (either Maths or Literacy).
For children who are working at or above average ability, and simply need an academic boost, it may be possible to cover both subjects in a single session — this is decided on a case-by-case basis.
