Primary school grinds are available to children from Senior Infants to 6th Class in English (reading, writing & spelling) and Maths. We also offer Specialist Dyslexia Tuition.
Classes are delivered in-person by a fully qualified and experienced primary school tutor. From September 2024, these classes we will be based in Dooradoyle, Limerick.
English & Maths Tuition
English (reading, writing & spelling) and Maths tuition is available to pupils from Senior Infants to 6th Class. We cover a broad range of topics depending on the needs of each individual child.
For English tuition, this can include phonics, reading, writing, creative writing, handwriting and spelling.
For Maths, this can include multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages and problem solving.
All of our classes are delivered using a variety of child-centred, multisensory activities to suit the diverse learning preferences of visual, auditory and tactile/kinaesthetic learners.
Typically, we cover ONE subject during each class, i.e. English OR Maths. This is because children who have fallen behind in a given subject generally need the full class time (30 mins – 1 hour) to learn a new topic, concept or skill. However, if your child is within the average ability range and simply needs a boost, it may be possible to cover two subjects during a single class. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis and completely depends upon the needs of the child.
Specialist Dyslexia Tuition
For children who have been diagnosed with dyslexia or who have reading difficulties, we offer a specialist programme which uses the renowned Orton-Gillingham approach. This phonic-based multisensory approach, which is considered the gold-standard in literacy tuition and intervention, helps children to improve their reading, spelling and handwriting skills.
Specialist Dyslexia Tuition is available to children from 1st to 6th Class. Unfortunately, these classes are not available to secondary school students at this time.

I can’t recommend Premier Tuition enough. With schools closed during lockdown and working from home I found it difficult to keep on top of home schooling with my 5 year old. Meet The Teachers
AnneMarie Brosnan, PhD, is the founder and owner of Premier Tuition Centre. AnneMarie began her career as a primary school teacher and she now works as a University lecturer where part of her role involves supervising student-teachers on school placement. AnneMarie is passionate about helping every student to reach their full potential and her leadership of Premier Tuition Centre has seen hundreds of students increase their grades, grow in confidence and achieve their full potential.
Emer is a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher. She has extensive experience teaching children of all ages and abilities in a variety of classroom settings. Emer is Premier Tuition Centre’s specialist literacy tutor, having undergone training with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland and the Orton-Gillingham Academy. Her approach involves child-centred multisensory methodologies that cater to the diverse learning preferences of visual, auditory and tactile/kinaesthetic learners.
