Course Content

The German Oral Exam takes place between Saturday April 12th and Thursday April 17th. Our Oral Preparation Course is delivered by a highly qualified teacher who has extensive experience teaching Leaving Cert German. Throughout the course, students cover all aspects of the German oral exam which encompasses three sections. They will participate in mini mock oral exams with the tutor who will give them personalised feedback on their strengths and areas to work on. Each week, students will receive comprehensive notes on the topics covered which includes sample questions and answers, useful phrases, and key vocab. Suitable for Higher and Ordinary level students as content and material will be differentiated for each level.

Meet The Teacher

Elaine is a fully qualified and experienced secondary school Maths and German teacher who consistently receives 5-star reviews from parents and students. She holds an honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Higher Diploma in Education from University College Dublin. Elaine has extensive national and international teaching experience, having taught in Ireland, Germany, Spain, the UAE and South Africa. She is available to teach students from 1st year to Leaving Cert (Higher & Ordinary levels) in Maths and German. Elaine is a registered member of the Teaching Council and also Garda Vetted.

Overall very helpful course. It was great to get a clear, concise run down of grammar. Testing me with questions in each session was great, as it motivated me to look over notes outside of class. The more questions the better! The course being a little longer might be helpful too, but as it stands, it was very useful.

When I first joined Elaine’s higher level maths class I was really struggling in my class in school and was thinking of dropping to ordinary level after only getting H8 in my mocks. My teacher had advised me to drop to ordinary multiple times but after a few classes with Elaine I had improved so much I wasn’t worried. I honestly don’t think I would have been able to pass maths if it wasn’t for this class and Elaine’s amazing teaching. I am very grateful for all the help I got in achieving a H4 in my paper.
