This term, students will receive exam-focused tuition in the following areas:

HL LC Maths:

  1. Trigonometry
  2. Complex Numbers
  3. Algebra

This term, students will receive exam-focused tuition in the following areas:

HL LC Maths:

  1. Trigonometry contd. 
  2. Complex Numbers contd.
  3. The Line and the Circle

HL LC Maths: This term, students will receive exam-focused tuition in the following areas:

  1. Calculus – Functions Differentiation and Integration

These three topics appear in both sections A and B of Paper 1 and can account for a little over 60% of Paper 1’s total marks so it’s crucial that students develop a solid foundation in this area.

This term, students will receive exam-focused tuition in the following areas:

HL LC Maths:

  1. Calculus (Section B)
  2. Area and Volume
  3. Sequences and Series
  4. Financial Maths 

Area and Volume can be tricky for students, requiring a good level of spatial awareness and the ability to use both Geometry and Trigonometry, as well as the area and volume formulae. Extensive notes and cheat sheets are provided to students to support them with this. Students can re-watch the class recordings as many times as they’d like. 

OL LC Maths:

  1. Area and Volume
  2. Complex Numbers
  3. Sequences and Series 

HL LC Maths:

  1. Probability & Statistics (almost half of Paper 2)

OL LC Maths: 

  1. Inferential Statistics
  2. Calculus
  3. Financial Maths
  4. Coordinate Geometry
  5. Complex Numbers

Meet the Teacher

Elaine is a fully qualified and experienced secondary school Maths and German teacher who consistently receives 5-star reviews from parents and students. She holds an honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Higher Diploma in Education from University College Dublin. Elaine has extensive national and international teaching experience, having taught in Ireland, Germany, Spain, the UAE and South Africa. She is available to teach students from 1st year to Leaving Cert (Higher & Ordinary levels) in Maths and German. Elaine is a registered member of the Teaching Council and also Garda Vetted.

Overall very helpful course. It was great to get a clear, concise run down of grammar. Testing me with questions in each session was great, as it motivated me to look over notes outside of class. When I first joined Elaine’s higher level maths class I was really struggling in my class in school and was thinking of dropping to ordinary level after only getting H8 in my mocks. My teacher had advised me to drop to ordinary multiple times but after a few classes with Elaine I had improved so much I wasn’t worried.
